What’s new with Sanaa these days?
13th October 2026: I received the Charles A. & June R.P. Ross research grant from the Geological Society of America for my project titled, “Constraining the age of enigmatic macrofossils in the Neoproterozoic Cango Caves Group, South Africa
12th October 2026: I received the Winifred Goldring Award at the Geological Society of America from The Paleontological Society and Association of Women Geoscientists.
September 2026: I spent the month at the University of Leeds in Simon Poulton’s lab working on Fe-speciation and redox sensitive trace metal geochemistry to understand the paleoredox environment of new fossils from the 1.88 Ga Rove Formation, Animikie Basin.
